Special Response Team
Staffed by volunteer members from within each unit within the department, this team responds to special circumstances, high risk situations, and facilitates the apprehension of dangerous subjects. Their goals are accomplished through the use of specialized weapons, equipment and tactics unique to the team's function. The team trains monthly.
Negotiations Team
The Negotiation Team is staffed by volunteer officers who are utilized to negotiate the release of persons taken hostage, effect the negotiated termination of barricaded person situations, and negotiate the end to suicidal threat situations. The team trains monthly and supports the Special Response Team’s activations.
