A project of the High Point MPO

The High Point Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (HPMPO) is working to create safe and connected routes for bicycling in the High Point region, including Thomasville, covering nearly 700 square miles in west-central North Carolina.

The purpose of this plan is to identify opportunities and constraints for bicycling in the High Point region, and to establish recommendations for improvement.  The goal is to create safe and connected routes for bicycling throughout the region, with connections between major destinations, such as downtowns, parks, and schools.  The study area includes Archdale, Denton, High Point, Jamestown, Lexington, Thomasville, Trinity, and Wallburg along with portions of Davidson County, Forsyth County, Guilford County, and Randolph County.
