The City of Thomasville is engrained with a strong sense of community and public service. City employees work under the guidance of the City Council, Mayor and City Manager in collaboration with multiple volunteer committees, businesses and other organizations to serve the needs of the growing local community of over  26,000 citizens. 

With an annual operating budget of over $45 million, the City is responsible for establishing and maintaining key infrastructure, multipurpose public facilities and parks, and most recently, a $6.5 million initiative to construct a new state of the art aquatic community center.

As an integral employer within the City limits, the City has approximately 300 employees that serve in administrative, public works and public safety roles. Our departments include:
